Boulder- (Large Scale Cops and Robbers)

Here's a game you can play when you're feeling active and think you can find another handful of active people. It's called boulder for no known reason, just live with it. All it will cost you is a few bucks in gasoline.

Basic game- It's cops and robbers, but a larger version. Group up into two teams. This game works best with 8-12 players, so two teams of 4-6. Simple goal, one team tries to get to the base with for points, while other team tries to capture the other team for points.

Rules- Drop Robbers off at location 1 to 2 miles away from a house or aparment that you will use for home base. They have a certain time period to make it back to the home base or else they lose their points.(30-45min) Use streets and large markings for boundaries. Robbers get 5 minutes after they are dropped off to escape the drop off point. After five minutes the cops are allowed to leave home base in pursuit of the robbers.

Here's the kicker: Cops get to use cars to hunt down the robbers.
2 cars
2 drivers
2-4 runners
Can't baby sit home base, so pick a limit on how close cops can sit to home base.
Cops drive around or stake out at a certain point to catch robbers. Must physically tag robber for him to be captured.
Points-
Points are given for each person that makes it back to the base under the allotted time limit.
Points are given for each person a cop catches.
Play two rounds and add up the points to see what team wins the battle of boulder!

Feel free to tinker with the game and draw up new rules. It's a good workout and a lot of fun, but you might get in trouble for running through peoples yards so be smart about it.

Really fun at night but once again, could be more dangerous. Just be smart and use your head, remember it's just a game.

Cheap and fun things to do around Minneapolis/St.Paul
